I came in not knowing what to expect and genuinely not sure if I even had a legal matter to address. Khemarat listened for a long time before saying anything. The written summary I received afterwards helped me understand my position far better than I had going in. I needed that clarity before I could think clearly about next steps.

The agreement we reached would not have happened without Wattana Law keeping the communication respectful. Nanthawan in particular was very good at de-escalating moments where things looked like they might become difficult. The process took about six weeks and the documents were thorough. My main note would be that response times were occasionally a day longer than I had hoped, but when we did speak things were always clear.

I had a contested matter involving children and I was understandably anxious about the whole process. The team kept me informed at every stage. Siriwat would call regularly even when there was nothing dramatic to report, which sounds like a small thing but made a real difference to my stress levels. The closing report was detailed and something I have returned to several times since.

As a foreign resident dealing with a family matter under Thai law, I needed someone who could explain the legal framework clearly in English and who also understood how the local courts actually operated. Wattana Law covered both well. The initial session was thorough and I felt genuinely listened to rather than processed. I went on to use the full representation service and the outcome was one I could live with.

I only needed the conversation session — I wanted to know where I stood before deciding anything. The lawyer was patient and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. The summary note arrived by email the following day. That was enough for me to make a decision I felt confident about. I am grateful that this kind of contained, affordable service exists.

The agreement support service helped us reach a parental arrangement that both sides could accept. I appreciated that the approach was always focused on keeping communication workable rather than adversarial. Documents were prepared carefully and the final agreement has held without issues. Four stars rather than five only because the process took a little longer than the initial estimate — though I understand that partly depended on the other party.

Situations we have helped with

Identifying details have been changed. These accounts describe the type of matter and the kind of outcome achieved — they do not identify any actual client.

Challenge

Understanding options after a marriage breakdown

A client in their mid-forties came in having decided to end their marriage but with no understanding of what Thai law provided regarding property or maintenance. They had been given conflicting information from family members and were feeling overwhelmed by the uncertainty.

Our Approach

The Family Conversation Session gave the client a clear picture of how marital property is treated under the Civil and Commercial Code and what maintenance arrangements are typically available. No specific action was recommended — the aim was to give the client accurate information to make their own decisions with.

After the session, the client chose to return for Family Agreement Support when the time came to formalise arrangements.

Outcome

A written mutual agreement was reached within seven weeks, covering property allocation and ongoing arrangements. Both parties signed and filed within the month. The client later said the session had been the most useful single hour of the whole process.

"I walked in not knowing where to start and left with something concrete to work from."

Challenge

A contested custody matter with children involved

Two parents with two school-age children had reached an impasse over custody arrangements. Communication between them had broken down and each party had retained separate lawyers who were taking adversarial positions.

Our Approach

We took on full representation with a clear commitment to handling the matter in a way that kept the children's practical arrangements stable throughout the proceedings. All correspondence was drafted to de-escalate rather than provoke. Court filings were prepared carefully and submitted on schedule.

The client received updates on a weekly basis throughout the four months the matter took to resolve.

Outcome

The court issued a custody arrangement that reflected the children's existing school and care routines. Both parents have maintained the arrangement without further legal intervention since resolution. The closing report detailed the terms and noted follow-on considerations regarding the arrangement's review provisions.

"The children barely noticed anything had changed — which was exactly what we were aiming for."
