Why Wattana Law
What families gain when they work with us
Family legal services should do more than just process paperwork. Here is what Wattana Law brings to every matter we handle.

Six reasons families in Khon Kaen choose us
We listen before we advise
Every consultation begins with us hearing your account fully, without interruption or judgement. Understanding your situation comes before any legal analysis.
Deep local court experience
Years handling family matters specifically in Khon Kaen courts means we know the local procedures, timelines, and judicial expectations that affect real outcomes.
Written summaries after every meeting
You leave each session with a clear written record of what was discussed and the options available. Nothing important gets lost between appointments.
Conflict-aware, low-pressure approach
We actively look for paths that reduce friction rather than inflame it. This is particularly important where children or ongoing shared arrangements are involved.
Transparent, fixed-scope fees
Our three service tiers have clear prices. You know what you are paying before work begins. There are no hidden charges and no billing surprises part way through.
Your timeline, fully respected
There is never any pressure to proceed faster than you are comfortable with. Decisions belong to you, and we structure our work around that principle.
Professional Expertise
Thai Bar qualified, locally experienced
All lawyers practising at Wattana Law hold current Thai Bar Association membership and hold specialist knowledge of the family law provisions within Thailand's Civil and Commercial Code. Continuing legal education is undertaken each year to stay current with changes in statute and judicial approach.
Beyond formal qualification, the team has spent years handling family matters specifically within the Khon Kaen provincial court system. That local familiarity is practical knowledge that cannot be replicated simply by reading the statute book.
Clear Process
Organised, transparent throughout
Family matters can feel overwhelming partly because of uncertainty — not knowing what will happen next or whether things are moving. Wattana Law addresses this directly through structured communication.
From the initial engagement letter to the closing report, every step is documented and shared. Clients have told us this predictability itself is a significant source of reassurance during an otherwise unsettled period.
Client Service
Accessible, attentive, unhurried
Our client model is built around giving each family sufficient attention. We do not take on more work than we can handle well, which means you are never chasing a lawyer who is stretched across too many files.
Enquiries receive a response within one working day. Appointments are available Monday through Saturday. Where a matter is particularly time-sensitive, we make space accordingly.
Transparent Pricing
What you see is what you pay
All three Wattana Law service tiers are fixed-scope with published prices. There is no hourly billing, no end-of-month surprise invoice, and no charge for the initial telephone call to discuss whether we are the right fit.
The written engagement letter you receive before any work begins states the fee, the scope, and what is included. Changes to scope are discussed and agreed in writing before they are acted upon.

What Sets Us Apart
Distinctive features of the Wattana Law approach
The standalone consultation model
Our Family Conversation Session is a complete, self-contained service. Most legal practices use the first meeting as a sales step toward further instruction. We treat it as a service in its own right, with a clear fee, a structured process, and a written deliverable. You can leave after that session and never instruct us further — that is entirely your choice to make.
Child wellbeing as an explicit priority
Where children are part of a family matter, their practical wellbeing is given explicit weight in how we approach the work — not just as a legal consideration but as a genuine priority. We raise this openly with clients when it is relevant and shape our approach accordingly.
Bilingual service, Thai and English
Wattana Law serves both Thai nationals and international residents and families in Khon Kaen. Consultations, written summaries, documents, and correspondence can be handled in Thai or English, whichever the client prefers — or both, where a matter involves parties who communicate in different languages.
Everything confirmed in writing
Verbal reassurances have limits. Every material discussion, agreed course of action, and outcome in your matter is put in writing. This protects you, keeps the file accurate, and means there is never ambiguity about what was agreed and when.
